Coldplay did just that on Thursday, as they performed a version of Rihanna’s current hit single, “We Found Love,” on BBC Radio 1.
The song was a part of the “Live Lounge” radio series, hosted by Fearne Cotton, where well-known artists usually perform one song of their own and one by another artist, in an acoustic format.
The Rihanna single is currently #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Rihanna and Coldplay are no strangers – they team up on “Princess of China,” a track from the UK band’s new album, “Mylo Xyloto,” released just this week.
