“I have a surprise for little monsters!,” tweeted Gaga. “Because you have all been SO supportive of MARRY THE NIGHT and all my performances, I've decided to release an early treat.”
“[On] the 17th, after my UK performance on Children In Need, I'll tweet the opening of my new video. "MARRY THE NIGHT: THE PRELUDE PATHÉTIQUE."
Gaga confirmed on Twitter that the effort was inspired by Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B minor, “Pathetique,” which had the distinction of being performed publicly by the composer - for the first time - just 9 days before his death in the fall of 1893.
The Children In Need Rocks concert in Manchester supports the charity, BBC Children in Need. The organization currently makes grants to 2,000 voluntary projects, community groups and registered charities who offer practical, lasting support to children and young people experiencing poverty, deprivation or homelessness, suffering from illness, abuse, distress, or neglect, living with learning difficulties, sensory or physical disabilities, or behavioural or psychological disorders.
The event features Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Michael Buble, Snow Patrol, Hugh Laurie, Elbow, JLS, James Morrison, N Dubz and Ed Sheeran. The concert, which will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 hosts Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton, is also scheduled to feature special guests including actor David Tennant and never-before seen surprise collaborations.
