Madonna’s new album, “MDNA,” is on track to debut at US #1 next week, according to music industry sources.
Billboard reports sources suggest “MDNA” could sell between 300,000 to 350,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, April 1, giving it a #1 debut atop next week’s Billboard 200 album chart.
If "MDNA" does reach #1 (debut or otherwise), it will mark Madonna’s eighth #1 album and her fifth consecutive studio set to debut on top. Her last studio album, 2008's "Hard Candy," started at #1 with 280,000 sold.
The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, April 4.
