One Direction have announced the release date for the new single, “Live While We’re Young.”

The track will be available on October 1, and appear on the group’s new album, due in November.

“Live While We’re Young” sees One Direction once again teaming up with songwriters Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub & Carl Falk.

The new song caps an incredible year for Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Formed on the 2010 UK series of The X Factor, they released their Number 1 single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” in September 2011, helping their debut album sell 12 million records worldwide.

“Up All Night” has reached No.1 in 17 countries – becoming the first UK band to debut at No.1 on the US Billboard chart with their first album. They've sold out tours across the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand. One Direction's live DVD has also reached No.1 in 27 different countries.

In Spring 2013, One Direction will begin their sold out World Tour in the UK which includes nine shows at London’s O2 Arena.
