Hilary Duff releases new single Sparks

Hilary Duff has released a new single called “Sparks.”

Produced by Bloodshy and written by Swedish electro artist Tove Lo, the song is the first track to be issued from Duff’s forthcoming 5th album, due this summer.

The tune is also featured in the trailer for Duff’s new TVLand series, Younger, which premiered on March 31.

The singer’s upcoming album is her first since 2007’s “Dignity.”

“The album has taken on a lot of different lives, which I guess is to be expected when you’ve taken such big break,” said Duff. “It is a little bit of electro-pop, a lot of it is just straight-forward pop and some of it has gotten pretty dance-y, which is cool. Some songs still have a little bit of a folky side.”

Fans can order the single via iTunes or the Amazon link above.
