Jessie J releases new single Wild

UK pop star Jessie J has released her new single, “Wild,” featuring Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal.

Produced by Ammo and co-written by Claude Kelly, the song is the lead track off Jessie‘s forthcoming second album.

“Wild” had an immediate impact in Jessie’s homeland.

“After 16 hours you all made WILD number 3 in the UK big top 40!” tweeted the singer. “I am celebrating with a sprite lol and I am on top of the world! Love love love!”

VIDEO: Jessie J in the studio recording new single

UK pop star Jessie J is sharing a sneak peek at her work in the studio on her upcoming single, “Wild.”

The singer has released footage featuring her recording her vocal tracks, alongside songwriter Claude Kelly.

“Wild” will also feature Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal…a video is expected to be issued soon.

Jessie performed as part of last week’s American Idol season finale.

Jessie J sued for copyright infringement over Domino

UK pop singer Jessie J is being sued for copyright infringement over her hit single, “Domino.”

Billboard reports the lawsuit, filed by singer Will Loomis in Newport, California, names Jessie J (real name: Jessica Cornish), Universal Music Group, Lava Records, and Universal Republic Records as defendants in a case in which Loomis claims that large chunks of his 2008 song "Bright Red Chords" were taken for "Domino," which was released in August 2011.

"Mr. Loomis never consented to the use of his song," writes the singer's lawyer Chris Arledge in a statement, "and we look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."

Loomis uploaded a video to YouTube comparing the two tracks side-by-side in April, overlaying the vocals from his track with the backing track of "Domino" to show the similarities in vocal phrasing. Watch the video below.

"Domino" spent 24 weeks on the Hot 100, peaking at #6.

Jessie J's debut album, "Who You Are," peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last year.

VIDEO: Jessie J rocks The Voice

Jessie J brought a spark to The Voice Tuesday evening.

The UK singer rocked the house – along with members of Christina Aguilera’s team – performing her hit, “Domino.”

Jessie opened up Tuesday’s results show, which saw two contestants being eliminated from teams headed by Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green.

Jessie J hits UK #1 with Domino

Jessie J debuts at UK #1 with her new single, “Domino.”

The Official Charts Company reports “Domino,” from Jessie’s double-platinum debut album “Who You Are,” has toppled last week’s chart topper Flo Rida’s "Good Feeling" by 11,000 copies.

The track was written and co-produced by Dr. Luke, who also worked with Jessie on her first UK chart-topper, “Price Tag,” which spent 2 weeks on top and went on to become the fourth biggest selling UK single of 2011.

“Domino” becomes the 5th Top 10 hit from Jessie’s debut album.

Jessie J becomes the fourth recipient of the all-new Official Singles Chart Number 1 Award, launched to mark the start of 2012 – the 60th anniversary of the UK’s Official Singles Chart, and to recognize every new track that makes it to Number 1.

Theofficialcharts.com caught up with Jessie on the red carpet earlier this week when she was leading the Official Singles race to let her try it on for size and ask the question, if she got to Number 1 this weekend, how was she going to celebrate?

“I want to say a massive thank you to all my fans, my Heartbeats, for buying Domino nine weeks before release. It’s insane! I’m going to go and jump in a pool, I don’t know where the pool is, but I’m going to find one!”

Jessie J: Domino remixed by Hype Jones

Jessie J has a new remix track on her hands.

Hype Jones has reworked the UK singer’s “Domino,” morphing the pop song to a full-on dance club rave-up.

The original song is featured on Jessie’s “Who You Are” album.

VIDEO: Jessie J performs on X Factor UK

Jessie J performed on The UK version of X Factor Sunday night.

Jessie did her new single, “Who You Are,” the title from her debut album.

The pop singer was a little under weather, saying something she’d eaten the day before didn’t agree with her. Regardless, she pressed on, and delivered a performance that drew some negative feedback from fans.

“It’s funny that people that follow you tweet you but don't @ you when there slagging you off,” tweeted Jessie after the performance. “I WAS pitchy last night and it’s the first thing I said when I came off stage. The track was so low in my ears I couldn't hardly hear it. I am a realist and I'm NOT perfect. I'm growing and learning and I'd rate half the artists more if they had the guts to say s**t to my face...”

VIDEO: Jessie J rocks X Factor

Jessie J rocked X Factor’s results show Thursday with a performance of her new single, “Domino.”

While in the midst of recovering from a serious injury earlier this year, Jessie made the special trip from the UK for the broadcast.

For the past few months Jessie has been on the road to recovery, working hard on rehabilitation with a team of devoted doctors in the UK. This progress has led to Jessie now being able to travel to the USA for two one-off appearances - X Factor this week and VH1 Divas in mid-December.

"During this whole recovery process, my U.S. fans have been on my mind," she says. "All I can think about is coming back to America and giving those loyal fans who have supported me so much something really wonderful. I promise you it's just around the corner and it starts with "The X Factor". I've been gone for too long. I'm feeling a bit better, but I'm not there yet. As soon as I'm fully healed, I'll be back for a proper run. Until then, thank you for the support. I'm here because of you and I'll heal because of you."

Due to Jessie's injury to her foot, she had to cancel several dates in the US for this fall and winter, including the Katy Perry tour, on account of her doctor advising against long distance travel.

VIDEO: Jessie J rocks MTV EMAs

Jessie J was up for two prizes at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards Sunday night in Belfast, including Best New Act and Best Push Act (Bruno Mars won both categories).

The singer was appreciative of her nominations, telling the media before the show, “It feels very humbling to be here after 12 months of craziness. I've got a lot to prove to myself and my fans tonight, that I'm still working hard."

Jessie rocked the house with her hit, “Price Tag,” as her latest single, “Domino,” starts its climb up the US charts.
