Adele undergoes throat surgery in Boston

Adele has undergone throat surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

The operation was to stop a vocal cord hemorrhage from a benign polyp, which has caused the British singer to cancel concerts and personal appearances, in both the US and at home, through the end of this year.

The Boston Herald reports that the hospital says the singer’s surgeon, Dr. Steven Zeitels, expects Adele to make a full recovery from this unique procedure.

Adele was in good hands: Zeitels, the director of the Mass General’s voice center, has worked on rock superstars like Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and The Who’s Roger Daltrey.

Adele reportedly received the same treatment Tyler did back in 2006.

The singer releases “Live At The Royal Albert Hall" on DVD and Blu-ray on November 29.
