Or, rather, make that the prelude teaser to the full prelude.
“Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathetique” is a 90-second clip that will, no doubt, set the scene for what’s to come in the full prelude – all 7:33 of it, according to Gaga.
Seven and a half minutes – and that’s just the prelude.
The teaser clip features Gaga, lying motionless on a hospital gurney, being wheeled around by two nurses in a mysterious building; on her way into surgery, possibly, or out of it.
The scene plays out with a voice over by Gaga - more of a narrative, really - which begins:
“When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened. I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. Truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it.”
Gaga makes references throughout her sometimes dark, sometimes funny narrative, to a “clinic” – and that’s as much as we get…for now...
