The pop superstar appeared in several sketches, playing mostly light-hearted characters.
Perry did get a chance to imitate some fellow pop stars, including Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine, and Christina Aguilera.
In “The Apocalypse,” a taped commercial spoof based on the film, “New Year’s Eve,” Katy played Aguilera, contemplating the end of the world with NBC weatherman Al Roker (played by Keenan Thompson).
