Madonna stopped by The Tonight Show on Monday for an interview with Jay Leno.
Just days away from her Super Bowl halftime performance – typically one of the most-watched music events of the year - the singer admits that she's feeling some nerves.
"It's the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done," Madonna admitted. "The Super Bowl is the holy of holies. It's like the sacred show of America. And I have to go on in the middle of that holy of holies and put on the greatest show that was ever put on before. That's no pressure."
There isn’t going to be much time or opportunity for rehearsal on site in Indianapolis on game day. “They're playing football all day, so I don't really have time to do a sound check,” said the pop icon. “It's a little bit like a circus act: Get in there, roll out my carpet, put on my show and get the eff off," she joked.
The 2012 Super Bowl takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 5. Kick-off time is 6:30 PM ET.
