Demi Lovato has been confirmed as the host of Nickelodeon’s Teen Choice Awards.
The event celebrates the year's biggest achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy and the Internet and are voted on by teen viewers aged 14 through 19.
The awards tweeted the news on Monday:
“Yes. The rumors are true @ddlovato is hosting Teen Choice this year!!!! Will all you lovatics be watching? July 22 8pm on FOX!”
The hosting gig adds another appointment on Lovato’s busy schedule, which includes a summer tour and her duties as judge on the X Factor, alongside Britney Spears, producer L.A. Reid and TV producer Simon Cowell.
Performers confirmed for the Teen Choice Awards include Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, No Doubt and DJ Pauly D, who will serve as "Choice" DJ for the night.
Also scheduled to appear are Zooey Deschanel, Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron, Ellen DeGeneres, Sophia Grace and Rosie, Tyler Posey, Gordon Ramsay, Laura and Vanessa Marano and Ashley Benson.
Teen Choice 2012 airs live Sunday, July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
