UK singing sensation Adele is sharing some exciting news with her fans.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” Adele writes on her blog. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."

Adele’s boyfriend is Simon Konecki, a fellow Brit she reportedly met a year ago.

Fan response to the news was so huge that Adele’s website crashed Friday afternoon.
