Nicki Minaj has released a video for “Pills N Potions”, the lead single from her forthcoming album, “The Pink Print.”
Produced by Dr. Luke, Minaj has been making the rounds doing press interviews for the new tune, which she initially issued as an audio only clip a few weeks ago, followed by a lyric video version.
“It sounds like betrayal,” Minaj told Billboard. “It sounds like running. It sounds like fainting. It sounds like love. It sounds like... *gasp!”
Due later this year, “The Pink Print” is the follow-up to her sophomore album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded."

The singer was 13 minutes late for the program, which caused her to miss the first performance of the night by Curtis Finch Jr.; she did make it just before Janelle Arthur took the stage.
Host Ryan Seacrest took Minaj’s seat at the judges table, telling viewers, “I hear she’s seven minutes out and there’s some congestion on the 405. She should be here momentarily.”
Minaj was tweeting on her way to the show, writing “Stuck in traffic *sighs*”, later adding “F**k u Malibu!!!!!!!!!!!! *moves to Beverly Hills*”
Seacrest also had some fun with the incident, jokingly asking judges Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson,“Which one of you gave Nicki the wrong directions today? Which one of you drained the fuel from her car?”
Nicki Minaj made headlines this past week when she walked off the American Idol judging panel.
The incident was initiated by a conversation about a contestant’s musical preferences, as Minaj disagreed with fellow judges Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey’s guidance to the singer.
Nicki was asked about the situation by Jimmy Kimmel, telling the host, "I wouldn't say I don't like her. I definitely don't think she likes me."
"I looked up to her for a long time,” said Minaj. “I don't want to be like hating this lady."
Nicki says the two have had an issue from onset but they're currently "having fun."
Following the Kimmel interview, Minaj performed “Va Va Voom” and “Freedom”.

Idol premiered Wednesday, and Minaj’s on-screen feuding with fellow new judge Mariah Carey was obvious right from the start.
Nicki spoke with Ellen about the situation.
“I dunno, it was just two big ‘ol divas, I guess,” said Minaj. “Before I went in there, I heard all the stuff that was being said but I didn’t believe it. I heard them saying Mariah doesn’t want you on the panel, but I’m saying no, I’m friends with Mariah. And I was arguing people down, ‘don’t believe everything you read, you’re crazy!’ And so I went there and I kinda started feeling a little bit of the shade, and I just overcompensated by being crazier.”
Nicki followed up her chat with a performance of “Freedom,” a tune from her latest re-release, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up.”

Nicki picked up AMAs for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist, and the original issue of “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album.
The “Re-Up” edition contains the standard version of the album, a second disc with eight new songs, and a DVD that features the album's music videos and 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage.
Minaj worked on the album with a variety of producers such as Hit-Boy, Dr. Luke, Ester Dean, Rico Beats, RedOne and Oak.

"She said she is very concerned. She is with her twins," Walters says. "She doesn't feel that anything would happen. I'm quoting now, 'But Nicki is unpredictable' and Mariah says she can't take a chance and she has hired extra security."
“Nicki has not apologized but they have since been together at meetings with producers and judges,” continued Walters. “There was a meeting yesterday morning; after the meeting, Nicki said to Mariah, ‘I love you, but we might fight again.’ Mariah responded, ‘No, we will not.’”
“At this point, Mariah said she doesn't feel comfortable emotionally, but she will continue with the show because she loves the show and she loves mentoring the contestants.”

Rumors continue to swirl about who will fill the judging panel at American Idol.
With several names still being thrown around, US Weekly reports sources tell them that Nicki Minaj will join previously announced judge Mariah Carey.
The paper says Minaj still has contracts to sign, but that the singer will be on board for Season 12.
Speculation also continues about resident judge Randy Jackson’s status, with rumors that he will fill a mentoring role on the series and no longer be a part of the panel.

“Miss Minaj's band and crew have all arrived in the UK ahead of the performance at the festival this weekend, however as the artist herself boarded her flight from New York on Friday 17th August, she felt unwell again,” said organizers. “This is despite having thought she had overcome her vocal cord issues from earlier in the week. Having revisited her doctor she has now been advised to rest for a week, which unfortunately means that she is no longer able to perform at V Festival.”

Minaj’s next concert date is scheduled for Tuesday in Dublin; no word yet on whether the show will proceed or if the singer will require further rest so that she may heal her vocal chords.

And she was not alone on the Today show set. “Jordin Sparks was praying for me backstage cuz she had a bruised vocal chord too! Haha! We were so dramatic!” she tweeted.
Following her Today show performance, Minaj rested her voice before playing a club show in New York Tuesday night.

The shoe company has just launched its 2012 Adidas Originals campaign, which features the two singers in a commercial that also includes Minaj’s “Masquerade” from her album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” as its theme song.
“‘Masquerade’ to me, feels like the Olympics. When Adidas came to me, they mentioned the Olympics,” Minaj tells Rolling Stone. “They mentioned maybe having a performance at the Olympics, and I just put my brain into the mindframe of, ‘What does a champion feel like? What is the inner conversation of a champion?’ The song is about feeling inspired to win and to never give up and I feel like the Adidas campaign, that’s what it’s really about: giving people hope and you know, that’s what I wanted to convey in the song.”
So what made Minaj want to get involved with Adidas Originals in the first place?
“Well, I am a fan of the Adidas brand and have been for a very long time,” she says. “I believe they represent what I represent, which is inspiration and fun and working hard as well.”
Nicki is currently performing on her first US headlining tour, after which she heads to Europe for shows starting August 18 with her appearance at the V Festival in London.
