The UK singer has been named Billboard’s Top Artist of 2011.
With singles like “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You,” Adele’s “21” went on to become the best-selling album of the year, hitting 4.8 million copies sold in the States.
Adele came out ahead of Rihanna (#2), Katy Perry (#3), Lady Gaga (#4) and Lil’ Wayne (#5).
This is at least the third major 2011 list that Adele has landed on top, following Rolling Stone’s Best Album and Song, as well as TIME magazine’s Album Of The Year.
